The department shall not issue to a person to whom a current Minnesota identification card has been issued a driver's license, other than a limited license, unless the person's Minnesota identification card has been invalidated. Driver's license classifications, endorsements, exemptions. The commissioner may, as appropriate. Restrictions placed on a driver license include: B Restriction - Corrective lenses are required while operating a motor vehicle. C Restriction - A mechanical aid is required to operate a motor vehicle. D Restriction - A prosthetic aid is required to operate a motor vehicle. E Restriction - The driver is restricted to using an automatic transmission.
