Joystick is supported. You canchoose what cave number to start with (divisible by 5) and other options can be set. Thereare 20 caves in the shareware version.
There is also a cave editor/builder but you can'tuse any of the created caves until you register. This is a high tech boulderdash type gamemeaning unlike several of the others it is programmed for the faster pentium classmachines. There are a lot of objects in the caves. The help files which are written in html has themall listed along with a picture and what they and Jim can do about them.
The objects aredirt, diamonds, fragile diamonds, granite ore (turns to diamond when hit by boulder),different type walls including magic (turns boulders to diamonds and vice versa whenactivated), Plasma, Protozo, Cave Gulls, Eaters, Aggressors, Cilia, Amoeba, TNT Boxes,Detonators, Drop Bombs, Tubes, Start Door, Exit Door. Note some of these sound likemonsters but can be very helpful so be sure to read up on them. Some of the objects areavailable in the shareware version. This is a great game one of the best boulderdash types I seen yet. Very challenging andentertaining.
It requires a Pentium Class preferably a 133, DirectX 3 or higher, and 16 MBRAM. There is a 30 day free trial. Registering will unlock 80 more caves, will unlock thetest function, gives you the ability to play caves you design or those designed by others(some can be downloaded at the website), you will have Aggressors, Eaters, and Drop Bombswhich don't appear in the shareware levels, and the register screen will no longer openwhen you exit the game.
